Sorry, I meant what is the RAM for?
It doesn't cost much, and might come in useful. For instance, if a CPU was
put into the FPGA it could be used for data storage. Or, additional
buffering for DSP. The Spartan 3 kit I've got has two of them. I don't think
the basic SDRs will need it, though.
