page. I'm on Windows and pulled down kicad-2006-03-21-RC2.zip and
doc_components-2006-03-07.zip. Instructions are in the README.txt. Do
you need more?

Please.  I have been searching for days for the necessary stuff for 
Kicad and I have been unable to find much of anything.  I would really 
like to go along for the ride and I might even catch a thing or two.  I 
am viewing entire project as a serious piece of my experimentation and 
work for the next several months.  I hope all of this can be done as 
openly as possible.
