[hpsdr] A Couple of Dumb HW Questions

Hi All:

I have two (potentially silly) questions about some of the hardware being
chosen:

1. If AD has some nice 1-2 Msps 24 bit ADCs now (as was mentioned earlier on
the list), then why not use one of them in Janus instead of limiting
ourselves to consumer audio speeds of 96-192 Ksps?

2. I know there may be some AMSAT history I'm missing, but why use a TI DSP
for the Sasquatch board, rather than something easier to program (IMHO) like
a AD Sharc or a Moto?

Disclaimer: I don't work for AD, own any of their stock, etc. They just seem
to have a cool product line these days.
