[hpsdr] What can we do with 2 cards

Bill,

As one of those 100+ folks, I can confirm that my immediante interest in
HPSDR is indeed as you say O+J+A to replace the sound card of the SDR-1000.
If in the process, the parallel cable can also be replaced and all I would
be left with is one USB connection from the SDR-1000 to the PC that would be
superb.

This step should be achievable sooner than putting together a complete SDR
and would help as an intermediate step to validate the many assumptions
currently going into the designs of O, J and A. If indeed the boards can
all be made to work and work together as designed, replace and improve the
I/Q/audio of the SDR-1000 and control it, that has to be of tremendous value
in achieving the ultimate new SDR goal. In the process, the additional
volume of boards ordered would have resulted in a price reduction :-)

In the end it is always better to take many small steps towards a goal than
one huge leap.

Just my humble 2 cents worth,
