[hpsdr] JANUS and OZY

Well since Horst brought it up again : )

The proposal I made (http://www.hamsdr.com/personaldirectory.aspx?id=245) is smaller in size than the filter board on the SDR-1000. And the mounting bracket is optional. Plus the proposed external connector location will allow you to mechanically stack the OZY, JANUS and ATLAS close to the SDR-1000 stack without interfering with each other.

Folks, I've looked at this for a while, I haven't just thrown it out there without a couple of good reasons. Run the numbers yourself.

Subject: [hpsdr] JANUS and OZY

***** High Performance Software Defined Radio Discussion List *****

Hi folks,

whowwwww, what an enthusiasm I could notice on the list that Phil and Lyle have finished
the board design of OZY and JANUS!!!!!!

Therefore from my side:

Bravooooooo, well done. Outstanding work. Fantastic job both of you have done on the
schematics as well as on the PCB layouts.

Congratulations to both of you as well as to Phil H. and all the others within the
development teams.

When the prototyping of the boards is planned? I hope soon.

Regarding changing the form factor of ATLAS and all boards I would say: leave it for now
as it is. I would like it as small as possible.

Stacking up two boards if you only need two seems to be easy. Mount a straight female DIN
connector on the JANUS and a straight male connector on the backside of OZY (I think this
gives a nice sandwich).
