[hpsdr] Reference Clock

Frank,
Would you care about any other features of GIBRALTAR, or would you just want the ability to externally provide a reference signal onto the ATLAS bus? I can see this as:
- a simple bracket with a SMA connector
- connected to a short bit o' coax to a DIN connector for signal and ground

Would also be useful to folks stacking multiple HPSDR chassis for signal distribution.

Would it be better to produce a TADD-3 with a SMA input, 3 of the output going to external connectors and the fourth output feeding the ATLAS bus?

Alex, N3NP

Hi All,
May I suggest the reference come into the system through a standard RF connector like an SMA. This way us cheap guys with a good reference can press their own into service. Also the clock could be applied form an internal reference board with a coax jumper. Some guys don't need to be locked to GPS and some can't live without it.
The coax interface takes care of each end of the spectrum.
