I've been thinking about a linear supply myself.  Looking at the 
spreadsheet I've got where I've been tracking power consumption, Atlas 
plus Janus, Ozy, Penelope, and Sasquatch use a total of about 15 watts.

That's easy taken care of by a linear supply and you don't have to worry 
about RF hash...
