Thanks for the input.

That particular part does not start clamping until 24 volts. 
I need something was will start clamping well below 10 volts.
Semtech has some low voltage parts that can be configured
for bidirectional clamping, but they are larger and more expensive
than the ProTek parts.

The part I like best, so far, is the ProTek GBLC03C or the
GBLC05C.
