It's really great the see the level of interest in the Janus and Ozy boards!
Whilst the level of documentation for the use of these boards with an SDR will
be relatively simple there is great potential for the Ozy board to be used as a
general purpose FPGA development system.
For the hobbyist, student and even professional, the Ozy represents a very
competitively
priced way of learning and experimenting with FPGA development. An added bonus
is that all the software to develop code is either available under the GPL or
via free download.
Apart from use with an SDR there are numerous other areas where an FPGA
development board can be used. What is required is sufficient documentation to
be developed to enable an experimenter to make use of the board.
All the information exists, it 'just' needs to be collated and formatted in a
useful manner.
Is there anyone in the group who would like to take on this project - you can
be assured of lots of support and gratitude from Phil N8VB, Bill KD5TF, Lyle
KK7P and myself.
