Whilst it is early days as yet in the planning of a PA (or more likely PAs) I
think that it is unlikely that one of modest power, say 100w, will fit in an
Atlas slot.

The current thinking is to design a high efficiency EER (Envelope Elimination
and Restoration) PA and this intention has shaped some of the features of the
Penelope exciter project.

In which case a special ( i.e. not 13.8v DC) mains power supply will be
developed that again will not fit in an Atlas slot.

In designing an enclosure allowing room for a switching PSU and PA external to
the Atlas based boards would be a good idea.

Sorry that I can't be more specific at the moment but the PA ideas are still at
an early stage.
