In view of those of use that do want to steer our own oscillators, please,
when it comes time, please offer the community (of smd soldering challenged)
an assembled board without the Valpey Fisher OCXO installed or included.

The design is being optimized around the expensive ($250 ea, min order 10,
12 week lead time) Valpey Fisher OCXO. It uses a direct heated crystal, is
very small for an OCXO and consumes less power than most OCXOs. I understand
from the e-mails here that many people want to use Gibraltar to steer their
own external oscillators for a variety of reasons. That was not in my plan
but I expect when the schematic is published it will become evident that
with some simple changes that will be possible.
