What is the target for gain and IP3 for the amp?

One of the h/b transceivers here uses a MAV11 mmic on 6mtrs, this has OIP
around I think 30dBm and works very well. I use only a simple single pole
tuned circuit in FRONT of the amp then follow with a four pole Cohn bottom
inductive coupled BPF.

For really high dynamic range you could look at the Mini-Circuits HELA-10D,
although its a little pricey at $15. After looking at this I wondered if a
push pull pair of MAV11`s or similar would work.

The ATF-107-- range appears to be obsolete. Agilent now appear to be
AVAGOTECH. They list an interesting P-Hemp part MGA53543, it's over kill on
noise figure but has exellent dynamic range. I don't know if these Ghz parts
suffer bath tub curves on noise figure?
