My wife Jean is stuck to me only nearly 40.
Maybe we are on similar boats ... some of us with some
additional options .. some other with no engine or
sail... rowing... but still boats..hi

Too bad we did not meet at Friedrickshafen ... I was
there too ... no XYL ... hi

I am sure you will enjoy theItalian trip ..site
seeing, food, people...some dodgy, some OK some
good... but you will see every meter (yard) of land
very different. Hope you will be able to meet italian
hams too...you can post on this group your trip and I
am sure you will be able to meet many of us and see
something different you will never see with organized
travelling.

My wife isOK in travelling to where she likes ..hi.
This past year, the weekend before Easter I forced her
to come with me to Lecce, a very interesting city in
the south east of Italy (nicknamed the Florence of
south Italy), where I managed a presentation on
Homebrewing at the local radio club. She did not want
to come but I insisted... on sunday morning when we
were coming back home she fell down the stairs at the
hotel... a very bad fall and a very bad day...
fortunately nothing was brocken only mussels and head
pains. As you guess ... now she will never come with
me on a radio trip ... this past weekend I attendee
the first Italian SDR Meeting in Modena (where Ferrari
and Maserati are manufactured) ... so I went by train
over 7 hours (one way) on my own...hi
So... same boat but different seawomen ...hi
No scheduling ...hi

I'm working on re-routing copper pipes in the

If I knew it I would have called you ... I rearranged
one of the bathrooms ... but called people ... hi

I do get negative points .... hi

Yes...world go round ... I have 3 kids, OM (Doc on air
carrier), YL (internal sales segretary) and OM
(supermechanics for OPEL, Corvette and other US cars)

all of them stopped in trhe audio band...HI-FI ... I
have 4 young sub-harmonics YL and 1 young OM ... I
hope all these will go ahead of audio and complement
and then replace their grandfather on the radiowaves
... the #1 and #2 YLs already know how to call " CQ
40, CQ 40..." they will be 5 ohm this year.

Yes... my two YLs ahout very loud CQ 40 ... if the
poreselector is not good enought they will blow-up the
gear...hi!

Better be analog humans than SDR machines ... own hdw
with embedde software control ...no external
connections...hi

73 and hope our hpsdr friends will excuse our NO HPSDR
info exchanges.... a break always help to think
better...

Now I have to go to XYL to keep her company watching
TV ... but I am working on a project to replace the
secon mixer on a Kenwood TS870 ...I have a volunteer
ready to obey ... hi
