dBc/Hz between 750 - 1000+ MHz.  It sounds like Cornell has a very nice 1st
LO in that rig, or a very optimistic phase-noise measurement rig. :-)   I
have not been able to do that well with a DDS-driven PLL made with
off-the-shelf VCOs and PFD chips.

    I just finished reading Cornel Drentea's first article on his Star-10.
What a beautiful job and well written article. Gee 2 months for part 2. I
might have to look at my CATV amplifier and CP666 FET stash and dream of
HPSDR mercury hanging off a BB output. frank
