Man, you are talking about the FR$ family jewels there!  LOL...

There is some mention of a $100 FR$ service manual being available
sometime in the future for the F5K. From the website:

"1. A service manual for the FLEX-5000 will be available early 2008.
The cost of the manual will be $100; however, it will be available
free of charge to anyone who purchased or purchases a FLEX-5000 before
April 30th, 2008. The manual will be available either on-line or on a
CD and access protected. "

For $100 it must be one freekin' heck of a service manual!  LOL...
Better purchase a F5K before 04/30/2008!

As far as the synthesizer:

The following is speculation:
FR$ appears to use a AD9959 DDS driven by a Valpey Fisher 500 MHz Osc.

There is also probably provision for a better and/or external clock
selected by a AD9511 clock distro IC.
