I do not know how different the OMAP 3530 is from the OMAP 3503 used by 
the newest incarnation of the Gumstix platform (Overo):

but they have had a fairly active (and open) development community 
around the Open Embedded build environment at:

http://www.gumstix.net/

and it might seem that there could be some benefit in following that 
general path.  I cannot guess how much porting might be required, 
certainly some I/O addressing would be different.
