Tom

Thanks. I thought the TI stuff was there when we were originally discussing
Sasquatch. Also thanks to Amsat for offering these valuable tools, and Rick
for spearheading the donation!

Hi Lyle!

Rob! And all. I've been following this thread with interest and $426 is not
that much. The HPSDR reflector is an 'unorganized EXCITING force!' Does
AMSAT and Rick Hambly license this package? If not, can we get together with
a group buy for the tools? I think many here would gladly contribute to
obtaining licenses for these exciting hardware parts, and those folk with
interest and capability to grow it!

AMSAT does have several TI user licenses for AMSAT & HPSDR use. The 6713 is
planned for the SDX on Phase-3E satellite as being developed by Howard Long,
G6LVB. This SDX will perform several simultaneous tasks:

1.	SDX Linear Transponder from 79 cm to 2M (see
http://gpstime.com/files/amsat/SDX_and_Future_AMSAT_Missions.pdf)
2.	"STELLA" (see http://www.g6lvb.com/Articles/STELLA/index.htm)
3.	"HELAPS" (see Pg 6 in
http://gpstime.com/files/amsat/SDX_and_Future_AMSAT_Missions.pdf).

If you have a valid, suitable HPSDR project and plan to adhere to the
HPSDR/AMSAT/TAPR open architecture standards, contact Rick Hambly
<mailto:w2gps at amsat.org> directly to obtain a licensed copy of the
full-blown TI software.

73, Tom
