[hpsdr] Another possible solution for a USB ByteBlaster

Following Scotty's link to Terasic’s USB Blaster alternative, I spotted 
the MAX II Micro Kit.
This is selling at $69, and can be configured as a JTAG programmer.
For the additional $19 you get a full fpga development system.
I’m very tempted, or am I missing something here?
A small fpga dev environment and a JTAG programmer.
Advice most welcome.
