Hello all,
Looking for a power supply for HPSDR?
I have progressed to a real design of the Linear Power Unit (LPU),
and it is up on a wiki page here:
http://hpsdr.org/wiki/index.php?title=LPU
Please take a look and comment. Keep in mind the goal of LPU:
small, simple, inexpensive
no redundant "safety" features (e.g. no crowbar, over-current, etc)
designed to use regulated station power supply for input
efficiency is not a concern
temporary use (it does not replace Demeter, but can be used until
Demeter is complete)
+12V, +5V and -12V only (with +3.3V as a user-buildable option to reduce cost)
If this looks OK, a kit can possibly be produced very quickly due to
the simplicity of the design.
