Just tried your suggestion and it works really well (with a softrock as per my other post).
Will experiment more with it, but thanks a lot!

Andrew You can use this on your mercury board with Powersdr so it will
prob work on Hermes hopefully
Set main VFO A to show your chosen bandwidth and turn on VFO lock, which
will only lock vfo A
Turn on Multirx to engage VFO B You can click tune with right clicking
secondary cursor for vfo B or scroll digits on vfo B window with mouse
roller
turn on split mode and xmit will use vfo B as xmit freq
Audio mixer sliders in Multirx box can reduce or remove Vfo A to non
audible so you can only hear vfo B as desired
So there is a way of doing it. Duffy NA6MM
