Hi All,

Can somebody enlighten me (maybe you Phil)?

In order to answer one of my own questions in a previous email of me:

What kind of data throughput do we have/need at the interface between
current Ozy / future OzyII and the PC (USB bus)?

To get an idea of what we are talking about, am I right in assuming that:

- 192 Ksamples/sec is the highest datarate we currently create (?) Future
Cyclops surely will create a lot more?
- We are sending I and Q of this sample frequency over the USB bus (?)

To calculate the datarate:

- At the highest sample rate of 192 Ks/s
- At 24 bits/sample
- Sending both I and Q data streams
- 10 % overhead

We would need:

(192.000 X 24 X 2) + 10% = 10.137.600 - is abt. 10 Mbit/sec

Would this be correct?

Next question would be:

What figure are we aiming at for the future OzyII?

(Cyclops guestimate: 1.6 Mhz bandwidth, X 2 samples/sec, I and Q:
(3.200.000 X 24 X 2) + 10% = 168.960.000 - is about 170 Mbit/sec ) ???

Would this be correct?

73's,

Henry.
