Either fan (or the old one I removed) is pretty quiet when not in the 
enclosure. I also found if I blocked a small part (perhaps 15% to 20%) 
of the fan slots on the case, the noise was improved a lot.

In the end, spacing the fan slightly away from the case solved the noise 
problem here. I didn't seal around it, just verified the airflow was 
enough to keep the LPU 5V heatsink, and the ADC on Mercury, barely above 
room temperature after running for 30 minutes or so.
