[hpsdr] Preselector control.

Hi all you smart software guys. I have a nice relay switched Harris low pass filter board that I plan to use with my modified MRI amp. The cool thing about this is some smart guy made a number of discrete outputs on Penny that a user could program the bit pattern needed. This will be perfect for my use. Later I hope to add another stage of gain and do the same thing. A string of opto isolators and handful of IRF IPSXXX drivers and I'm set.
Now, there are two possible ways to control any preselector, a serial bus or a parallel bus. I wonder if there could be a user defined set of outputs serial and parallel that could be set up at the time software is loaded.  One option could be to output the center frequency on the display. There are a number of mil preselectors around that we could not easily duplicate. Last week there were two Collins 8XXX units on ebay. This option would also allow users to build their own.
