[hpsdr] Pandora announcement.... now a question

Hi Vern --

That's a very good question, and one I probably should have addressed in
the announcement.

If you want maximum performance, you will want the Alex enclosure to
provide shielding around the filters.

However, the way Alex mounts in Pandora means that you will not need the
end plates for the Alex enclosure, as the Pandora back panel provides
the "front" panel for Alex (where the BNCs stick out), and a mounting
bracket will provide the rear panel.

We are still working out just how the bits and pieces will be offered in
a way that minimizes pain for the TAPR office, but in one way or another
you'll be able to buy the Alex enclosure minus the end plates, and also
buy the rear mounting bracket. That should represent a cost savings, as
the custom end plates for the Alex enclosure are not cheap. So there's
yet another reason to buy Pandora -- you'll be able to save a few bucks
on the Alex enclosure!

Hope this helps.

John
