This is a Dear John letter,

Dear John, here in Blighty at the turn of the year our VAT rate is going 
up from 15 to 17.5%, so could you get your good old all American finger 
out and make sure that all dispatches to Blighty are posted in time to 
get here before 1 January 2010.  Think of the special relationship, 
never mind Georgia, Texas et al, think of us good folks here on the 
other side of the pond, and send your parcels east.  God bless America.
