[hpsdr] Gilding the lily.

Having ordered Excalibur, downloaded and read the manual, my appetite is 
whetted.  I realise that GPS discipline of Excalibur is probably gilding 
the lily a little, but I fancy doing a bit of gilding, is there someone 
who can tell me in simple terms how this is done.  Basically I haven't a 
clue as to what I need to buy and do in order to be able to synchronise 
Excalibur with GPS.
