[hpsdr] Newbie's Question about Metis

I'm just about to start pulling together all the basic pieces for a HPSDR setup as the XYL has agreed to buy me the basic building blocks as a Christmas present :-) I'm going to go the Atlas route now rather than waiting for Hermes...but wondered whether I should hold back on buying an Ozy board right now and just go for a Metis board for delivery in Q1 next year? Technically I'd be very happy with GigE based connectivity...the Pandora enclosure and the boards will be going into a rack with a Gigabit switch anyway. However I guess my prime question related to this topic is whether all the various software platforms will support Metis right away?
