[hpsdr] Newbie needs some help

Bernie,

I'd like to second Ron's comments on .NET 1.1 and .NET 2.0.  Ran into 
similar error messages until I found that I hadn't installed .NET 1.1.  Just 
assumed  it was there with my SP1 and SP2 updates.

Ran Windows Update from the START menu and found .NET 1.1 wasn't installed. 
Another approach is to go to START-SETTINGS-Add or Remove Programs and look 
for .NET 1.1 toward the bottom of the list.

Think your problem is easily fixable.
