[hpsdr] So I ordered an atlas, preparation is in order

I am very nearsighted and do not use magnification - the human eye is
the best lens that you can buy ! If you are farsighted that is a
different issue all together.

Harbor freight has a nice 3x Clip on Magnifier [www.harborfreight.com] #
66825 @ $6 and also a Micro Flush Cutter # 90708 @ $2 hard to beat.
Their [on sale] $1.99 DMMs are exceptional as well and you can not buy
test leads for that price.

Be sure to get a solder sponge [damp] & holder to keep the tip clean
along with steel wool. I use a Weller WR-40P Iron with a ST6 tip. I
also have a 1N4004 diode in series with a switch [put in a gang box] so
the iron can idle with out building up crud.

I prefer SST Dental picks and hemostats for handling parts and placing
on pcbs.

Good luck, 73
