[hpsdr] IDE for PowerSDR

Hi,

as I am going to setup a development system for hpsdr I would like to
know, which version of Visual Studio is applicable? Can I use VS2010 or
do I have to switch to VS2008?

Further more, I would like to know if there is any "How To" on setting
up an development environment for hpsdr under Win7 (64bit) and linux
(apart from the one issued by dh1tw and w3sz)?

Does anybody have experience with VMWare to be used beside Win7 and run
several linux OS in parallel?
