Yes, it appears as though you've programmed Mercury code into Metis, which isn't going to work very well.

You need to recover the Metis firmware using the "bootloader."  There are directions for that in the Metis User Manual (http://openhpsdr.org/downloads/documents/Metis/Documentation/Metis%20User%20Manual_V1.0.pdf) in Appendix A in the section labelled "Reloading the EEPROM on Metis."
