[hpsdr] PowerSDR vs Kiss

Hi Berndt,

Additional comments:

1) Initially with PowerSDR you need to run a level calibration using
a known signal level input into Mercury and use the Setup >
Calibration > Level Cal utility to calibrate. You need only specify
the frequency and level of the known source once and you only need to
do it at one frequency. After that the level will show correctly
every time you run PowerSDR (unless you have a corrupted or changed
PowerSDR.mbd file in your directory).

2) The audio from Mercury is normally taken from the audio jack on
the Mercury board in both KISS and PowerSDR. While you may use an
actual cable from the Mercury audio jack back to and audio card on the
PC (ugh!) or a virtual audio cable from PowerSDR to the PC audio
system (also, ugh!) you will have more latency (extra time delay)
doing it that way and therefore it is not recommended; the additional
latency in those configurations makes CW operation very difficult to
say the least.
