Dear Tom,

PennyLane is an updated penelope design.  It is NOT an updated PennyWhistle
design.  As such, PennyLane is only about .5w output, like Penelope is.  It
is NOT a power amplifier!  It will have better linearity at lower power
outputs than Penelope does.

I doubt if it will be easy to mix a Hermes and a Mercury (there WILL be more
USA Mercurys produced by Scotty Cowling, I think) for diversity, as you will
not find it easy to phase-lock the two together so that diversity works
properly!  The 2 mercurys must share the same 10mhz clock so that they are
locked together.  Joe has been quite clear on this fact on his website, and
in his comments to this list.
