[hpsdr] Newbie - Ozy, Mercury, Penelope up and running :-) - Metis Question

Hello to everybody,

 

my winter project is finally completed. After several hours seeing the
world through a microscope HPSDR is running very well.

Of course, I run in some traps  - like the Penelope's output transformer
rotation issue - I should have read the erratas ...

But assembling the components was a lot of fun (ok, soldering the
LTC2208 was a real challenge) !

Especially Gerd's boards have a very high quality, so soldering was not
a big problem ( as I thought before)

 

My question about Metis is: I have many parts left from the project
incl. altera's Ep3...

 

Does anybody know, if the bare board will be available in the future?

 

A short introduction:

I'm an electrical engineer, 46 years old, studied communication Systems
in Germany and in Knoxville/TN

Licensed since 2005

My interest are digital signal processing, hardware-design and
programming - manly in C++ (I somehow lost the track to  C# and .Net but
hope to catch up)
