Hi Hans.

The setting of 15 turns on a microphone gain boost of 20dB.  If this is 
needed or not depends on the sensitivity of your microphone, how close you 
speak and how loud your voice is etc.  For my microphone I use 14 so I don't 
think there is one setting that will be acceptable to everyone.
