[hpsdr] Compact Power Supply for begginers, 2nd Part

Hi,

So, linear power supply should be much better (less noise) than switching style. Understood.

Now, for the more experienced guys. Can you take a look to this couple of linear power supply and recomend one of them for my HPSDR;

First one is using a LM723 + BD136 + 2 x BD249
The second one uses a Low Dropout Positive Regulator LM1084 in TO220 package.

What you think is better for a Mercury + Metis HPSDR?
