Hi Bob,

The Metis code sends 2x512 byte blocks in a single UDP frame, so the
1028 byte size frame is correct.

The start command to Metis has an additional bit defined to start the
wide band scope date.  0x00 stops the flow,  0x01 starts the flow of I/Q
and Mic data and 0x02 starts the wideband scope data. So sending:

<0xEFFE><0x04><0x03>

will start both streams.

This is in the latest 1.24 "Metis How it Works" document.
