Dear Lyle,
Thanks for the importand info! The 'I' in the text refers to Bruce Perens.
And he is a technical evangelist, as well as one of the founders of the
'Open Source' movement.
Are you aware of any other development/experimenter boards that have this
chip (OMAP L138) that you can recommend?
I also see that my attempt to post in HTML to fix the broken links was just
as bad as the original. Oh, well!

This from TI:
"TI is aware of the instability problems that many customers are
experiencing with the current HawkBoard and is working actively to solve
the problem. Unfortunately, the current HawkBoard does not follow TI's
recommended layout recommendations. Even after trying Innovate
Solutions' proposed solution, the boards in our possession are still
exhibiting problems
Therefore, due to design instabilities, TI does not recommend the design
of the current HawkBoard. We do not recommend new customers order the
current HawkBoard."
