[hpsdr] Problems Running PowerSDR

Dear Mark,

First, you are using a 32 bit version of PowerSDR, even on a 64 bit OS. So
having the 64 bit version of the libusb0 dll does you no good. PowerSDR
MUST be 32 bit code as it uses a number of 32 bit C/C++ DLLS, and you cannot
mix bit-size (no thunking!) on Microsoft's 64 bit OSes.

And it's the driver package (and the driver) that's signed, not the DLL, if
I recall correctly. I was the one who worked to get a signed driver so that
Vista 64 and (preferably) Windows 7-64 would be able to use KISS and
PowerSDR with Ozy.

So, you are OK with the libusb0.dll that comes with PowerSDR. You may need
to INSTALL the USB driver (from the libusb0 package) so that things work
correctly at start-up.

On your point 4: a dll cannot load if one or more of its dependencies cannot
be found or load. It's a recursive thing, so it could be a dependency of a
dependency.

This stuff has worked on my Win7-64 machine, so I'm not sure what the
problem is on your machine.

George K9TRV
