[hpsdr] Pennylane Problem

Hello all,
I've hit a problem with Pennylane, - any help would be much appreciated.
The story so far:
 In August had Metis, Mercury, Excalibur, Pennylane all working fine on Atlas with LPU and Pennywhistle in Pandora. All were ex TAPR except Mercury and of course Pennylane from iQuad. Metis and Pennylane were v.1.3 firmware at the time. Pennylane output was not set up in detail, but was clean and easily reached 15V peak-peak.
Anticipating Alex arrival, dismantled setup and upgraded Metis and Pennylane to v.1.4. Upgrade went ok according to software. Quick re-assembly, system ok on receive, but transmit not checked.
Alex arrived and system re-built. On test, Pennylane gives very low output.
The output is only about 0.4V peak-peak, and although the frequency etc responds to PowerSDR, the amplitute remains the same whatever the drive or PA settings in PowerSDR.
I have checked the obvious - cabling correct - 12V is on amplifiers and the JP2 jumper is correctly set. The board LEDs 1 & 7 are lit normally, but 2 - 6 do not light. 
Any ideas please?
