1)  Excellent, thanks, Phil.  

2) There seems to be an issue with using HPSDRProgrammer v1.6 to update Hermes firmware in that the program doesn't actually update the FPGA in Hermes, at least  several folks have reported this as being the case for them.  I also am not able to use HPHSDRProgrammer to update Hermes here, neither using HPSDRProgrammer v1.6 with my Win XP x64 system nor with my MacBook Pro Win 7 64 partition system.  Doug, I believe, reported that HPSDRProgrammer works fine for his Hermes updates, so there must be something subtle with it.  

I am unable to update via HPSDRProgrammer whether or not I connect through an ethernet switch or not.  HPSDRProgrammer reports successfully updating Hermes but nothing is actually changed in the Hermes FPGA, here.
