Dear Kevin,
Could you please give KISS (Unified) a try and let me know how it works?  I
don't think that it will prevent you from running with the version being
1.3, but I'm pretty sure that it will warn you and work anyway.

Unfortunately, I didn't get a Hermes, so I can't test for myself.

Let me know, and I'll make any needed changes to KISS Unified.  It is
intended that it should support Hermes 'out of the box'.
