I don't know of any error in this regard in the protocol manual.

What you are most likely missing:
If you are NOT in 'duplex' mode, and you are using Metis 1.8 or before, or Ozy 2.2 or
before, or latest Metis or latest Ozy (where bugs are fixed: see emails on the reflector
last month!), then setting the TX freq also sets the RX freq for RX0.  This means that for
C0=0 or 1 (MOX bit is a don't care bit for selecting this...), that C4 does NOT have the
0x4 bit set (NOT Duplex).

You only need to set Rx freq if Duplex or more than 1 RX.
