[hpsdr] step attenuator on the front end

Hi All,
I've played with step attenuators on the front of receivers. It sounds like a cool idea to have it toggle with AGC action but I found the changing control signals to the attenautor produced transients into the RX path and made it useless. Selectable attenuation over the whole range is very useful for testing. Frank WA1GFZ
