Hello Alfred,

Thanks for your comments.  It's been pointed out to me that CW operation 
would put considerable strain upon the relay concerned, and I guess 
that's true, but it's since occurred to me that relays get similar stick 
when using VOX.  If our clever software engineers were to implement this 
request it would itself have to be switchable, i.e. either on or not in 
order to take into account the valid concerns of full duplex users and 
CW users.

On the surface it seems a reasonable enough precaution to take i.e. 
switching in a 20 dB attenuator, (or switching off the RF amp) before 
going into transmit.
