[hpsdr] QtRadio ghpsdr3 and anan10 under linux

Hi
Wlhilst I have got the anan10 with a tapr hermes board to receive using
QtRadio and ghpsdr3
(linux mint 14) I have been unsuccessful getting it to transmit.
Has anyone achieved this (getting it to transmit?
If so could I have the benefit of your experience
