I made a quick measurement of the signal delay in Hermes from the Antenna
to the headphones in CW mode/384k sample rate.
Both CuSDR and PowerSDR looked fast enough to work CW in a contest, but
CuSDR was exceptionally quick with only an 11ms delay. It had less delay
than in my "analog" TS-590 transceiver!
PowerSDR mRx was slightly slower but still good. I wonder if the
difference was due to mRx processing a much bigger data stream for stitched
receivers. (there was one receiver enabled in CuSDR plus the wide
bandscope)
PowerSDR 64 samples Audio/256 DSP - 33 ms
CuSDR - 16K ethernet buffer - 11 ms
"classic" kenwood TS-590 - ~17-22ms
