Hi Don,

I see no problem to use PVC coated or enameled wire in that frequency/power
range. But you can also take a small piece of the inner conductor of thin
teflon coax if available.

Would someone explain to me why the primary of T1 and of T2 of the Alex TX
board requires teflon insulated wire versus PVC insulated or enamelled wire?
The "Toroid Manufacturing Table" says "Plus a separate single turn winding,
#18 teflon insulated thru center"

FWIW, the parts list states the primaries are wire staples.

Teflon insulated wire is quite costly for the mere four inches needed for T1
and T2 and I'm hoping I can use PVC insulated or bare copper wire that I
have on hand.
