Hi Tony.
As the power output from Munin is >100W,(+50 dBm) you will need a Power
Attenuator with 40 dB attenuation. Normally a Spectrum Analyser can
withstand >10 mW (+10 dBm). Take a look at the specifications for the
analyser you have ordered.
It is also possible to build a directional coupler similar to the one used
in the Alex LP filter. Instead of using a diode to rectify the RF, insert
a low power attenuator after the coupler to get the 40 dB in total
attenuation. I think the Directional Coupler in Alex has 30 dB attenuation.
If you have Alex LPF you can take the signal from the coupler at the
connection between D1 and R2. Use a 10 nF capacitor to a T attenuator.
This signal can later be used for the Pre Distortion feedback to the RX
for IMD reduction when this software is available.
