[hpsdr] Metis down

Hi,

I've just tried to program the Metis by Altera Quartus programmer (I've
installed the latest Quartus II 32 bit v13.0 SP1) using the Altera
USB-Blaster interface. USB-Blaster driver installed correctly. I've done the
following:
1. Run the Quartus programmer, set it to "Active Serial Programming"
2. Added the file Metis_v2.6b.pof and checked "Program/Configure" and
"Verify" for it
3. Connected the target side of the USB-Blaster to J6 (pin 1 to its upper
side)
3. Put Metis into the Atlas slot (farthest from the PS) (removed all other
boards)
4. Powered Atlas - 4 Power LEDs on Metis lit
5. Started the programmer - Progress: Failed, Messages: Can't recognize
silicon ID for device 1.

Did I do something wrong? Does it mean that Metis hardware (the FPGA?) is
faulty? What am I to do next?

Hi Issac,

Do the power indicator LEDs D1, D2, D3 and D10 light? If none of them light,
then there is likely a short on the +5V input to the board (or maybe +5V is
missing on the Atlas backplane?)

If +5V is missing, this would also prevent Mercury from coming up.

Do you have a USB Blaster?
